Silo Equipment

Over pressure valves are designed to balance the positive or negative pressure inside silos or hoppers. They work on the principle of the valve opening and letting out air in order not to damage the silo and silo top filter during material charge or discharge from the silo or hopper.

Mech-Tem over pressure valves are designed as gravity valves, with materials and generous tolerances so they stay functional even in harsh weather conditions on top of silos.

Material of construction is mild steel, or optional stainless steel 304/316.

The standard flange sizes are SANS 1123-600, or SANS 1123-1000. The sizes are 100NB, 150NB, 200NB, 250NB, 300NB,350NB, 400NB, 500NB and 600NB. Other sizes can be ordered on demand.
